How is a nanny/babysitter supposed to be treated?

wow, they're being rude. the least they could do is acknowledge all the work you've been doing. it seems like you are going above and beyond your duties by washing their floors and tidying up the house (it's a good thing to do, but it shouldn't be expected of you). i certainly don't think it would be wrong of you to speak up, at least about the issue with them coming home late and then not paying you for the extra time. if you like the kids and the pay is decent, i suppose you'd want to just deal with the parents and keep the job. but that doesn't mean you can't address the issues. they hired YOU. you're the one providing the service here, and you shouldn't be taken advantage of. i hope the situation works out!
