Is it okay to walk?

I am 20 weeks with twins had my three year old at 24 weeks they dont know why! my doctor has mentioned bed rest to me but has not put me on it or mentioned it again after the first visit i went on a long walk today and am hurting pretty bad walkin like Frankenstein lol is this normal? anyone been told this is dangerous
