Is my aunt crazy ?!?! For parents who know a person who has had a c-section or had a c-section themselves.?

Ok so my 16 yr old cousin grace's mom Martha is pregnant. Due to grace's mom's age, she has to have her baby in July, instead of the planned august. WELL - since Martha has to have a c-section to deliver the baby she has 6 weeks of bed rest. And her husband *Bob, is working a lot so he can't always help. So ... Martha is forcing grace to take care of the baby full time for 5 weeks from the due date in July to august 21st when school starts for her. If you've ever had a c-section before how long was it before you could take care of your baby ?!? How long was it that you had help ? Martha says she doesn't have to do anything because she is on bed rest, but if you have ever had a c-section weren't you able to do something ? Is Martha ok to do this ?
