How to play original Super Mario Brothers Clic?

I got Super Mario Brothers 2 Game Boy Advance game. It has Super Mario 2 and the original Super Mario Clic. I can play the Mario 2 pretty good. When I go to play the original Mario game all it shows is Mario in the middle of pipes with spiky critters and fire coming. They do have one of those "pow" things where I can make all the spiky critters lay on their backs. How in the world do I beat that board? I have not clue.
