Water-logged catchers equipment. How can i fix it?

Our teams catchers bag is a mess, it doesn't close, so when we put it in the back of a truck to hall back home from a rained out game, all the gear and my mitt got drenched. The gear doesn't seem to much heavier but my glove feels like its about 10 pounds. What would be the best way to get dry it out and get water out of it and make it lighter again?
