What are the factors that cause AUTOIMMUNE DISORDERS? Why do they exist?

Robert B is right....just for some reason our body attacks itself. It can be hereditary or you develop it on your own. it just happens. Your body recognizes itself as a forgien object and attacks it...we really can't explain why.
